Proud Parent
just curious of the reasons coaches will choose to do one dismount as appears to the other...originally, the girls were working on the feet on the bar/shoot off (excuse my lack of knowledge of terms! Lol) they have changed the dismount they are doing to a cast->hips on the bar->shoot off.
Is there a deduction for choosing one dismount over the other?
Why would the coaches choose to do the latter? I assume it's because they may have had trouble with the foot on option, but I know at one point, my daughter could do the feet on option pretty well...

Thanks!

We never saw that dismount in level 2 last year, but it is allowed. I would think the reasoning would be that it progresses more easily into the level 3 dismount?

They probably teach both and have moved into teaching the second one (under swing) which is also the level 3 dismount.
