If a Level 7 gymnast competed the Level 6 bar routine, what would the start value of the routine be?

IF the clear hip achieved horizontal AND the gymnast had a cast to 45 degrees either prior to her clear hip or her long hang pull over, the gymnast would be missing:
1 B element: .3
Second "clear" circling special requirement: .5
Start Value: 9.2

If the clear hip did not achieve horizontal and the cast wasn't at 45 degrees it would be a 8.4 Start Value.

If it is something you end up having to do, I would recommend removing the long hang pull over and just doing a long hang kip, cast flyaway. If you have do to the long hang pull over for whatever reason, make sure you take out the tap swings, as they will each be .3 deductions for extra swings.

OR - better yet, just replace the long hang pull over with a clear hip and you are in business:)

Thanks. I am just trying to learn how it all works.

I was shocked to have a girl with a very clean "lvl 6" routine outscore a girl with a routine that included a completed giant. (slightly, but still outscored her)
