I went to an auction and bought and old vaulting bord. it looks exactly like a spring bord, but has these "airbags" instead of springs. It is made by AAI and has a blue carpet covering. I was wondering if anyone had ever seen one of these before or knew how old it was or any information:)

Don't suppose the air bags are red? Sounds like what we used to use 20+ years ago. We used to call them springboards but I guess we should have said airboards. Does that mean springboards have springs again nowadays? I hadn't noticed lol. :D

we have one like that in the gym but it never gets used as we have wayyyyy too many spring boards

that was an 80's board.:) and they're called air bladders.

by the way, they didn't last long. you had to keep pumping air in to them. AND the men blew them up!

LOL well thanks you to everyone. now i know a little bit more about them... I just thought it was the weirdest thing when i saw it.

they don't make them anymore. you're out of luck for parts.
