she'll love those grips. and they might break in by next week.:)

That was my thought too actually. They're meant to break in really fast, which is why they usually have to be replaced faster than some kinds of grips. But again less expensive than most of the slower to break in kinds so I think it evens out, plus I think really helps them get used to grips at this level and age and they feel more comfortable because more of their hand is in contact with the bar.
 
Definitely the thinnest softest grips you can find so that her little hands aren't overwhelmed by her grips. Make sure they are worked in really well when she gets them. My older DD had small hands (especially when she as a little level 7 and 8) and was always really picky about grips. You likely spend a lot of money on gymnastics so spending some money trying out a few brands would not be a waste.
