With two gymmies our summer break consists of a combined total of 48 hours a week of gym. Not exactly the typical family summer, unless your a chalkbucket family:) No wonder our friends think we are crazy!

We actually do get a summer. We are encouraged to train, but it's not a huge deal. DD will probably spend 2 or 3 weeks in July training for 12 - 15 hours a week, and then she'll be off in August (no training). Good thing she won't be competing again until Spring!

We are at 40 hours but we will get a week off in July and a week off in August. We have a mix of days and nights but NO WEEKENDS!!!!!!

We are only at 15-18 hours a week, which is the same as the school year. It is nice to have some extra time in there for D to hang out with his friends!

DD will be practicing 3 times a week for 3 hours. But she will also go to the gymnastics day camp, where they will do additional 3-4 hours of gymnastics each day. The problem is, when we sighed her up for the camp we didn't know what her gym schedule would be like (didn't know she would be switching gyms and going JO :)), so now 3 days out of 5 I'll have to pick her up from camp 2 hours early and take her to the gym practice. This sucks. The camp is pretty expensive, and she'll be missing a good portion of it. Oh well, we'll know better next year.

DD's competitive girls have a three week break in July. She's at IGC one of those weeks. Once they return, they are at full training (25 hours for her), but rescheduled so no weekends :)
