Our girls are doing USAG this year for the first time. They are having to test out of level 4 and 5 and going to compete level 6 optionals. The head coach hasn't even got the test out meet sched. Is this normal to wait till the last minute? Bc all of us parents are freaking out and ready to have a meet sch for this season and ready to know exactly where they are going to compete.

Usually, the coach's goals with a test out meet is for as many girls to test out as possible (of the group going). There may be a girl or two that need a little bit more time to be ready or something.

One year, we were having a last chance qualifier meet for YMCA Nationals (usually held within 1-2 weeks of District Championships... and this past season it was immediately following the last session of Districts), but there were a couple of the girls that REALLY wanted to go to Nationals that were not QUITE ready, so HC planned that meet for the last possible day (with enough time to submit the scores on time, so the day before official scores were due).

Good luck with the score out meet and the season.

Are the girls just starting to learn the routines to test out or have they been working on them over the summer? Your coach just needs to go to one or two meets at the most to test out.
