Does anyone know if there is a way to "test into" Xcel Platinum without having to meet the age Requirement for Xcel Platinum? For example, if a 7 yo has all the skills to compete Platinum but the min. age is 8 yo...

TIA!!

Since one needs a mobility score from gold to go platinum anyway, why not just compete a gold season- she could do the same routines, basically, and then go to platinum next year when she is old enough. I am fairly certain the age limits are not negotiable.

no, mimimum age must be met. but, after platinum there's only one more level left so might as well take your time.

Actually, if a 7 year old has all the skills for Platinum, it might be worth it to go the JO route... learn the L4 and L5 routines, score out of them and compete L6. It is a pretty comparable level (L6 gets deducted on bars if casts arent close to HS, and split jumps have to be bigger on floor and beam... but otherwise, L6 floor and beam are easier than Platinum).
