15-20min each way. DD has practice 4times/week, I work 5 days/wk and sometimes we go to open gym... And I work in the morning AND at night so I make the drive to the gym at least 14times/wk. :)

20-30 minutes on a good day and 2+ hours on a bad day... I envy those who are 5 minutes away! We are much closer to a few other gyms, but we found our gym home and that is where we'll stay (I hope)

4 minutes, 5-6 days/week. It's nice, because our house has become a hangout for gymnasts before/after practice if other parents need it, or just when the girls want - it's no harder for parents to pick up from our house vs. the gym, and no pressure to "pick up on time". I love having my house filled with young teens (dds are 12/14)- they are so funny - and I think it's great that the girls get non-gym bonding time to paint nails, play with make up, walk to the store, etc. Eases the competitive pressure.

Generally 30 min door to door at about 18 miles distance. Dd has class 3x a week but also goes back one day for TOPS. So really it's 4 trips a week.

We are roughly 25-35 minutes away, based on traffic and weather. DD practices 5 days a week. Now that her practices are longer (3-4 hours), I don't stay each time. For a shorter practice, it's not worth coming home in between.

Oh, and I also wanted to say that we have one gym that's closer to home, but it is not a good fit for our family. The rest of the gyms in our metro area would all be a similar distance from our house--30 minutes or so. We are happy with our gym, so we tolerate the drive. When we started, DD was only going once a week--here we are, 6 years later, and she's practically living there...

So those with long commutes- is it because of actual distance or because of traffic? Around here a 45 minute commute would be because the next gym is literally 45 miles away. But if you are in CA or other large metro area it can take 45 minutes to go 10 miles :)

12-15 minutes each way. I have 3 gymnasts and between the 3 of them, we are at the gym 6 days a week--some days 2-3 round trips.

We travel 20 min with no traffic and go 4 days a week. There are gyms closer to us but they are much more expensive so the extra 10 min drive is worth it to us.

For us, it's a combination of traffic and distance. We have to take the highway and it is always pretty busy, but thankfully our travel time is not during rush hour. We also have to pay tolls each way, so I always stay out near the gym during practice unless I have a specific reason to come home. I don't mind...I just find a location with free Wi-Fi and work. I get a lot done!

We're pretty lucky. Our gym is only 7 mins away. The next closest gym is about 25 mins. My dd has friends that travel 45+

We are about 15 miles from the gym, door to door, but because of traffic and often weather (we live in the snowy north!) our trip takes anywhere from 25-35 minutes on a normal day. We have had at least two times when there was a snow storm that hit while we were at the gym and it took us the better part of an hour to get home.
