I am really mad because at the begining of the season my coach told me that we had to get a 34 to move up. It sounded easy and i couldnt wait. Well it was my second year of level 6 so i was really eager!!! It turned out that i fell on beam twice at state and i didnt get a 34 at alll that season. I was so sad. But my coach ended up telling the parents that even though they got a 34 they would only move up if they had their skills. So i got happy.:) I have all of my moves for seven exept my bh on high beam and my giants.:rolleyes: So i was ready to go.. But a few days later my coach told me that he was so happy in how i had advanced but i should still be working 6 for my meet later. I asked my mom what he meant and now i still have to do ANOTHER 6 meet!!!:mad: I am sad becuase the floor routine hurts my ciatic nerve and it mmaes my legs go numb before my back tuck.

SHOULD I BE MAD??? :confused:

I don't think you should be mad. Maybe you should be a little disapointed, but think positively and think of ways to fix the things that went wrong and don't waste energy being mad. Its counter-productive.

Put everything into the meet you have.

The Gymnast Creed
Patience is man's greatest virtue
Or so the saying goes,
A gymnast must have said it
For a gymnast surely knows,
That in this funny sport of ours
Discouragement runs high;
And at times the best will find
This virtue has passed us by.

When hands are ripped and throbbing,
When every muscles is sore,
Can a gymnast still have patience
To go back in for more?
When you've lost old moves you used to do
And progress seems so slow,
Can you still have faith in better days
And not feel sad and low?
Can you admit you're frightened,
Yet not give in to fear?
Can you conquer pain, frustration,
And often even tears?
When someone else does something
That you've tried so long to do;
Can you really feel glad for them
Or just pity for you?

And when success seems far away
You efforts all in vain,
Can you force yourself to wear a smile
And disregard the pain?
If, despite the tribulations
You can say, "I won't give in!"
Maybe some day you'll discover
That it's now your time to win!

Does that look familiar. If so take it to heart. If not, take it in!
