All Chalked Up

I'm really excited as I had a great practice last night!
I got my beam mount, which is really cool. I might post a video later.
I got my switch kip! I struggle with my regular kip, but not with a switch kip. I'm a strange child :p
And last but not least,
I used to have this HUGE block on tumbling. I wouldn't even do a RO BHS with 2 spotters, a crash mat, the foamy mat and the cheese. I got over that a few weeks ago, got my RO BHS BHS, and the HC said that I will be working on RO BHS BT really soon, maybe tomorrow's practice!
I'm just so pumped up right now and needed to share!

YouTube - glide, switch, kip chinese situp

The first skill in this video is a switch kip, often a gymnast will begn the rouytine facing the low bar, and under the high bar, then continue the routine as normal. Of course the legs and arms should be straight.

In Canada you can use it at any level.

Ok, so a switch kip is a glide/turn to kip. Then a Chinese sit-up is an Uphill? The one with the bar change? or is the Chinese sit-up the straight-arm kip? Just trying to understand. :)

A chinese sit up is where you cast and then step onto the bar, do a 270 turn around the bar and then shoot your toes towards the high bar and catch the bar with you hands.

Gosh that sounds complicated!
