The Peppermint Twist leos are very cute, not always high quality but often have good designs.
Spirit of the Flame leos are really terrible.

You can tell my priorities.

One of my DDs absolute favorite leos of all time was her spirit of the flame leo from two seasons ago. It's the only meet leo she's every enjoyed. Go figure.

My daughter liked Chicago Style and the Cal Classic in San Diego. I would like to go to the Magical Classic or Manhattan Classic or mostlt the one at the Atlantis Bahamas (I know that's not US, so out of the parameter)

Magical classic was cool because well Disney but the meet itself meh nothing special except cool team trophies that are Disney characters

i'm dreading Vegas this year.......Not my favorite at all, but there is always a way to be entertained in Vegas.....need to save $$$$!

I'm wondering the same - we are going to Vegas this year! What is so bad?
Chicago Style last year and the girls had a blast! We loved that meet! The gymnast "parties" were a big hit.
Sand Dollar in Orlando is a good meet, we are going again this year, but very $$$ to get in.
Gasparilla in Tampa is a cool venue (inside a baseball park), but awards took forever.

What's so bad about the Vegas meet? We're going this year.
Just not our cup of tea, thats all........BUT there is a lot to do there, eating and shows. It gets very expensive for our entire family so we are saving up already.
Its far for us too.....last time everybody got food poisoning......

I'm sure we will have a better experience this time. I am convinced we will do it right this time.

Thanks. Personally, I'm not looking forward to it but my Mother wants to meet us in Vegas so anytime that happens it's special.

Circle of Stars, even factoring in Indiana in January. Well run, good location, great competition - it has it all.

We haven't gone to the Vegas meet ourselves, but other parents at our gym have and they didn't feel Las Vegas was very child friendly. I don't think there was anything about the meet, it was the location.

Well, I will share a funny experience.....walking out on the streets with my then 9 yo, the smell definitely reminds me a bit of that 'morning after college party'.....
my kid picked up a flyer.....there were thousands all over the sidewalk.....I had some explaining to do about adult entertaining, and escorts and such......the pictures were very graphic....
I guess this is standard for Vegas.....

The meet was great! the shows were great and so was the Bellagio.....its the 'in between' that is sketchy.

Vegas can definitely be child friendly, you just need to know where to look. I grew up going to Vegas all the time....granted I have a lot more fun there now of course, and my Dad loves there now so I go every once in a while. But many hotels have TONS of stuff for kids, my girls love it there. Hopefully we'll get the chance to go for a meet! (Plus, we'd stay with my dad so no $$ needed for hotels :))

lol, I remember one time I was about 9 years old, we were walking around in Vegas, and my dad saw a woman who was rather....voluptuous. He goes "oh those are real, no silicone there!"

That desensitized pretty much anything else on Vegas to me from that point on.

Thanks, dad.

Chicago Style - big but very, very well run.
Metroplex - Level 10's compete on podium.
Spirit of the Flame - nice venue
Pikes Peak - its the Broadmoor
We did the Vegas meet, but wouldn't do it again.

For Spirit of the flame, is there good turnout of Level 10's? Like enough competition? would their likely to be college coaches there, or recruiters? Does anyone compete on podium?

Please give me some pointers otherwise I'm going to eat the whole time...lol......but we will heading out of Vegas to explore too.

Yes, the level 10 turn out is pretty good.

As for college coaches, you really have to look at timing; that meet is Feb, right? The college season is in full swing so unless a coach is at a meet at SJSU or Stanford or Cal, probably not.

This meet is in the Santa Clara Convention Center. Not room for something as elaborate as a podium setup. You will only find that at much bigger meets like Metroplex in Dallas.
