It's nice they are giving big picture stuff. We had no clue what we were getting into on the team side. We had no friends that had kids in gymnastics so we really didn't even know what it was all about.
It was only before competition season began when I found this community. Looks like you are ahead of the game.
I agree with pretty much everyone else here. They are not asking for a full blown commitment. They are just seeing if you would be interested in team, and try to see what that would look like.
Just be supportive. If there time isn't taken up by gymnastics, it's taken up by something else.
Parenting demands 100% bought in, regardless of the activity. If it's gymnastics, school, or baseball or anyother thing in their life.
