Now that it is comp season they don't work on much except routines. The competed Sunday and will again Saturday. My dh hasn't seen a meet yet so last night I sent him to do the carpool run. I told him if he got there 1.5 hours early he could see bars and beam and I figured he would see lots of routines.
Well I got a phone call towards the end of practice that dd was doing her BHS on high beam and landing them great! They haven't worked that in months and all summer long her hands just wouldn't make it on the beam and she was falling numerous times a practice. I had been very scared for her figuring it was an injury waiting to happen. I guess some time off made the skill work for her. yay! For her to have a good beam night is rare anyway and to have it go this well is huge! The coaches were so excited for her, which makes it all the sweeter.
