There are always plenty of stories shared about crazy gym parents and coaches so I thought it might be refreshing to share a couple of stories from the recent Buckeye Elite Qualifier that really warmed my heart. My daughter competed in both the Elite Compulsory Qualifier and the Hopes Optional...

Do the girls that score high enough only compete elite from then on or can they still drop back and compete the lower levels?

Good luck to anyone competing in Burlington this weekend! DD is first flight this morning, but went to bed with a fever, not wanting dinner, and pumped full of Tylenol last night, so we'll see how she does :( She's got one more hour to sleep, then the prep process begins!

Does anyone know and can you provide any reference on this? What is the age someone can time at a qualifier? Our club is saying that it is a GO rule that it has to be 12 but the reference I found does not specify an age. Anyone? Thanks kat

Sooooooo proud of DD. She came in third today at the National Stream Cup qualifier, and made Team Ontario. First "real" meet with scores and she did awesome!!!! Signed - proud mommy ;)

So for all of you ladies inquiring about the National Stream cup qual in base Borden: CPN Aspires and elites both compete first flight on Sunday morning the 17th (7:30am registration). There are 14 aspires and 8 elites listed. It will be DD's first meet with scores.... so exciting for her!

Is there going to be any way to follow the men's national qualifier meet happening this weekend? I wouldn't dare dream of live streaming, but maybe videos? Live scoring somewhere?

And I say HA only because she wasn't going to compete tramp this year, but had a change of heart. Last year she was consistently middle to bottom of the pack. Last qualifier she was 3rd and this time she won! Happy shocker! She also placed 3rd on Double mini, which was the opposite kind of...

She qualified! The meet started very rough. They were first on beam and the warm up lasted all of 1 min. She was able to do her series (cartwheel/cartwheel) once before competing. She fell on her series and her full turn. She was in tears which in turn made me cry too. Soo hard to watch...
