Same here...I was really turned off by NBC getting in her face. She was obviously NOT ready for an interview.

The coverage tonight was awful. I watched all day, so I knew what was going to happen, but I also got to see some wonderful routines including Beth Twiddle's bar set. You'd think there were only a few women competing today. I'm so grateful for the live feed.

Watching women's qualifying coverage became very emotionally draining in our house. When Jordyn did not qualify for AA finals, my 8 year old dd started sobbing. I was not expecting that because she is not "a crier". She has been all about Jordyn all year, and could not be consoled for quite a while. After many hugs, reassurance, and hopes for team and floor medals, she has settled down. It truly broke my heart.

Yeah, no kidding. The live stream is at the EXACT SAME TIME as my gymnasts has practice all week. Seriously? I forgot that my stupid DVD recorder won't record the basic cable that we have now so I'm going shopping tomorrow to see if I can figure out some way to record it. I'm kind of ticked that it was easier to watch Worlds in the past than it is to watch the Olympics this year. Too much commercialism. Would it kill them to allow us to replay the live stream for gymnastics?

Why why why do they hold it out so late? I know it's so we'll stay up watching, but really. Don't they know kids are watching? Not to mention kids that need to get up for gymnastics practice in the morning? We heard the results on the news and I told dd she could watch it tomorrow. So glad I didn't have them stay up waiting. Good thing we'll both be home for team finals to watch streaming. It's so much more fun to watch when you don't know the results...

I am very disappointed they didn't show Beth's bar routine. It was the highest scoring bars of the qualifications, 16.1, instead they just showed her floor. That was nice, but not spectacular like her bars.

Instead of Beth's bars we got 15 minutes of the American girls looking up at the score board, waiting for their floor scores. Geez, would think they could cut away from this for 60 sec to show us the best bar routine in the world!!

ITA!! As they were waiting for Gabby's score, I saw Beth's name on the board for bars. I started talking to the TV saying, "just show Beth's bars while we are waiting!" No such luck. :-( I am really hoping that coverage will be better for team finals but not counting on it.

I was glad I watched both the Canadian live streaming and the NBC evening coverage, they both showed different routines and that was great.

I do not like the NBC in your face videoing at all, I really think the media should be penned up.

Beth's bars are insane, they are up on youtube by the way.

I am in love with the BBC commentary. I don't usually watch sports on BBC but those guys are really entertaining, plus they seem to be genuinely excited about the sport and about what they're seeing. Listening to their commentary about the Americans, especially on vault, was fun. They cracked a few jokes that actually made me laugh in a good way, rather than want to throw something at the screen ala Elfie and Tim.

When Jordyn didn't make the AA and was crying the BBC guys didn't realize what was going on. One of them said "I think it is just a release of pressure, all that build up," then the next one said, "wait, check the all around scores," and the other guy said "oh there's no way she's not in," so they checked out the scores and sure enough "ohhh, that explains everything." I like that about watching live -- no pre-manufactured story, just people calling it as they see it.

Well, checking in again today, it looks like NBC released the replay of the live coverage and from the little I watched, it looks waaay better than the prime time coverage I saw last night. Thank goodness!! I'll be saving it to watch with my gymnast when she gets home, though.

I know I'm a bit late to the party here, since NBC showed so much swimming last night I had to go to bed before gymnastics started. Just finished watching it. But... wow. Honestly, the thought of Jordyn not even qualifying for all around never even entered my mind. My mom and I almost started crying when we saw her break down when she saw the score. Extremely sad for her, everyone really thought she could do it. But totally happy for Gabby and Aly, they earned it! I hate how the media is focusing on Jo and taking the spotlight away from those who actually made it. Hopefully she will give it everything she's got for team finals!

I love the BBC commentators! Every five seconds they are all "well, you know, Team GB has definitely gotten into team finals so don't worry about that" which I guess makes sense since it's much more up in the air for British viewers than Americans. And they are always saying "And that's x points less than Beth's bar routine"!

Wish that I could watch BBC! As for NBC, I was so irritated at the commentators, I watched the men's yesterday on the website. Have to say that I preferred listening to Shannon Miller commentate since she actually explained things. I am going to try and watch it today online-you also get to see more gymnasts from other countries.
