Hi,

My acros on beam this year have been bridge kickover and handstand (changing it to cartwheel for last meet and forever hopefully). I am also working back walkovers and I can do them with a spot on high beam.

My beam coach loves working original/unique skills, and I have a history of trying them and competing them, so she knows I would be perfect to try to get and compete a valdez and I want to.

Currently, I can sometimes to it on the floor, but only with my arms wider than the length of the beam. Do you have any tips on how I can get my hands closer together so I can stay on the beam ( are my hands supposed to be staggered or are they supposed to be together like bridge kickovers or walkovers?)

I am also confused if your arm that starts on the ground is supposed to turn when you kick up like it is on the floor, or if it does not, how would I do that?

Thank you!
