Me too!!! Leos much better on day 2...for juniors and seniors! They said during the junior broadcast the reason the TD girls are all wearing different leotards is that KZB designed so many she wanted them to be able to wear them.
I do like Ragan's much better tonight. Up until now the KZB designs have not been good. I'm trying to understand why her designs are getting her own line, when they aren't that appealing? The ones from the Classic were awful. I may be in the minority here, but at the gym and on YouTube, her designs have not gone over well.

Agree. These tonight are the only ones I've liked

a triple turn is an E, correct? and she connected it (maybe) to a full wolf (b)

isn't there a B - E connection bonus? She got a 14.2 so maybe?

Jade Carey did really well! I'm so happy for Jordan Chiles. Not only is she an awesome gymnast but she really seems to have a genuinely awesome personality.

Ashton Locklear looked pretty disappointed about that 2nd place on bars.

I'm ranting now. It is not fair that the other vaulters do not get any recognition. Let Jade have her gold medal, she deserves it, but the other gymnasts work their butts off to be great vaulters, and they don't even get recognized. Elena had the highest vault score of Day 2 and, and 2nd place and she gets nothing? That is not right. And Emily G was 3rd. They deserve something.

International rules - you need two vaults, so they rightly deserve nothing as they did not meet the requirements. Plus you can just base it on the day of competition that suits your pet interest. Chiles has the higher combined vault score which is how winners are decided at this event. Perhaps if they are good at their one vault they should be looking to upgrading as a Yurchenko double will not cut it, almost everyone has one at this level. Then they should add a second vault so next time an apparatus worlds rolls around it is not a one horse race. I am surprised Chiles does not have a second vault to back up her Amanar, it would make for more team choices and make a stronger case for herself.

I know that, but it doesn't change the fact that they deserve some recognition of some kind. Jade deserves the gold. The other gymnasts deserve some recognition as well. Then Chiles was 2nd and Arenas 3rd and Gaskins 4th. If, out of the entire field of seniors only 1 gymnast has 2 vaults, it seems there is a problem here. With that line of reasoning, then how can someone win placement in the All Around without 2 vaults? Seems like a double standard. Ragan should not be the AA champion with only 1 vault. That's just logical if you really think about it. Like you said, they deserve nothing.

I stand by my opinion. The other vaulters should get some kind of recognition. Or they should also negate All Around placement without 2 vaults as they really aren't meeting the requirements. Seems like a HUGE double standard to expect 2 vaults for an individual vault medal, but not demand 2 vaults to be the AA winner.

Did any juniors do 2 vaults? I didn't watch them, so I'm not sure.

I "think" and I could be wrong...that when they do 2 at nationals, their first vault is to count towards the current competition, their second vault is to try and qualify for world's (meaning I don't think they even use it as a contender for her score at nationals)
So maybe there just weren't any other gymnasts this evening who want to try for a vault specialist spot at world's?
I didn't see the medal ceremony, are you saying no one else got a medal for vault?

They did amazing, but they shouldn't get a vault medal. They know their rankings on their individual vault. They should be happy with their score and results. But unless you are competing two different vaults, you shouldn't get a vault medal. Otherwise, why would anyone train multiple vaults? It defeats the purpose if anyone could medal with just one vault.
