hi,
as some of you know I have a gymnastics meet coming up this weekend!!!
im so excited but really nervouse cause its my first proper comp.
My question is do you think its a good idea to wrap the middle part of my hands in that material tape so that if I get a rip during my bar routine then I can just keep going??
thanks heaps
xx

No, you really won't need to do that. Doing bars at competition is not like doing bars at your normal gymnastics training. In Training you would do a lot of routines and skills and rips are quite likely.

In the competition you will only do 2 quick bar routines. One to warm up and one to compete. Its very unlikely that you will get a rip.

You only need to do one routine for your comp and then bars will be over, so don't worry about taping it!
Good luck!

Unles you have blisters or rips already you shouldn't need to wrap your hands.
