How scary!! Are you sore??? I am so happy that you're okay, but wow--you must be pretty shaken up. :( Happy Birthday to your sweet Olivia, and take care of yourself!! :)

    Terrified of Vault

Could you set up a reward system for yourself? If I get one solid vault, I can treat myself to _________. Maybe set it up so you are accountable to someone else. Are you good friends with another girl on the team? Does she have something she really wants to accomplish? You can set up an...

Best way to explain to a 6 year old

In that case, indulge her a bit and tell her the truth. :) She's working hard, and so deserves to know that she's got talent. It might encourage her, too, to work harder on those pesky details. :)

    Being afraid to say something…

I can completely relate to you, Pickle's Mom. I hate making waves, especially at the gym. I feel like they've given my daughter a great opportunity and who am I to complain? I know that's weird, but I want to have a really good relationship with the staff and coaches because my girls spend so...

Best way to explain to a 6 year old

Is it bothering her a lot that they're hard on her? My dd's coach yells at her a lot, but she's completely immune to it. She actually told me that the coach yells nicely. LOL But if it's bothering your dd, her coaches should treat her with more care. She's only six---they really need to...

    3.5 y/o on pre-team!

Wow--she sounds like she's got a lot of talent!! :) I have a daughter who just turned four as well, and I just can't picture her doing a ROBHS! LOL

Parents DD having a tough time lately..What to do?

Little kids don't often communicate clearly with the coach. Find out what part of the handstand is really bothering her and let the coach know. :) I've got to admit--I've tried handstands on a LOW beam, and I was scared of them even there--they really are pretty scary! :)

    Press Handstands On High Beam

I'm just replying to say how amazing it is to me that 4-year-olds can do press handstands. Starmaker's dd did them at that age, too, I think. I think it's really awesome that your daughter is so talented in the sport--I certainly hope she continues doing it!! :)
