How scary!! Are you sore??? I am so happy that you're okay, but wow--you must be pretty shaken up. :(
Happy Birthday to your sweet Olivia, and take care of yourself!! :)
Could you set up a reward system for yourself?
If I get one solid vault, I can treat myself to _________.
Maybe set it up so you are accountable to someone else. Are you good friends with another girl on the team? Does she have something she really wants to accomplish?
You can set up an...
In that case, indulge her a bit and tell her the truth. :) She's working hard, and so deserves to know that she's got talent. It might encourage her, too, to work harder on those pesky details. :)
I can completely relate to you, Pickle's Mom. I hate making waves, especially at the gym. I feel like they've given my daughter a great opportunity and who am I to complain? I know that's weird, but I want to have a really good relationship with the staff and coaches because my girls spend so...
Is it bothering her a lot that they're hard on her? My dd's coach yells at her a lot, but she's completely immune to it. She actually told me that the coach yells nicely. LOL But if it's bothering your dd, her coaches should treat her with more care. She's only six---they really need to...
Little kids don't often communicate clearly with the coach. Find out what part of the handstand is really bothering her and let the coach know. :)
I've got to admit--I've tried handstands on a LOW beam, and I was scared of them even there--they really are pretty scary! :)
I'm just replying to say how amazing it is to me that 4-year-olds can do press handstands. Starmaker's dd did them at that age, too, I think.
I think it's really awesome that your daughter is so talented in the sport--I certainly hope she continues doing it!! :)
My goodness that child changes her mind quickly!! :) This time have her sign a contract or something, just so you can keep your sanity! LOL
That's great news on her level 7 skills, though!! Congratulations to her!!
She's 6 and has a BWO on high beam? I can't imagine why she wouldn't be moved up....even if she is tall, she could have just had an earlier growth spurt and she may stay that same height for a few years. She seems way too young (and talented) to write off. It's downright confusing.
I love the control she has on those cartwheels. My dd is loving doing cartwheels on beam right now, but she can't seem to slow them down for the life of her. She just doesn't have the core strength to do that yet.
As for the presses, it still amazes me how she can do that...LOL
